Ken Borden, Jr. and Little Bit Farm are USEF Leading Dressage Breeders
 
As of November 3, Ken Borden, Jr. is the 2005 USEF Leading Dressage Breeder.
 
Opus*, for the second consecutive year, is the 2nd Leading Dressage Breeding Sire for USEF, and is the ISR/Oldenburg 2005 Leading Premium Mare Producer.  He is also the highest NA/WPN Leading Dressage Breeding Sire in the USEF rankings.  Among his get this year are five USDF All Breeds and HOY winners.
 
Tashka* by Opus* is once again USDF Horse of the Year.
 
Raymeister* is the 2005 Leading Dressage Holsteiner.

Raymeister* (Rantares x Miss Nickle Annie) - a previous winner in hand, won his two under saddle classes, 6 Year Old Suitability and 4 Year and Older Stallions Under Saddle.

Tashka (Opus* x Bashka**), in her first time showing under saddle, won the 5 Year Old Suitability class.

Onastacia (Opus* x Elite Goliad), bred and owned by Sandy Boston, was 2nd in the 3 Year Old Suitability class and was presented with the Born in the USA award for 3 Year Old Materiale Fillies.

To our cohort and traveling companion par excellence, Dr. Elaine Burkhart, we want to say woh-woh-wee-wee and congratulations on her mare Walkhre taking 5th in the 3 Year Old Fillies class, and 2nd in the ISR/Oldenburg 3 Years and Older Fillies class, losing only to the champion mare of the show.

Dressage at Lamplight, Sept. 24, 2005
 
Raymeister won the Cosequin/USDF East Central Series Stallion Championship.
 
Tashka won the Cosequin/USDF East Central Series Mare Championship.
 
Owen (Opus* x St. Pr. Roma I x Rubenstein) won the 2 Year Old Colts and Geldings class.
 
Onastacia, in her first show in hand, won the 3 Year Old Filly class.  She also won Reserve Champion Filly, the Materiale class, and qualified for Cosequin/USDF East Central Series Championship.
 
Chloe (Opus* x Bashka) won her first ever under saddle class.
 
Rehlein (Raymeister x Chloe by Opus*), owned by Jill Schabel, won Fillies of 2005 Championship, Regional Young Horse Championship, and East Central Cosequin/USDF Breeders Series Grand Champion Filly.  Edit Text

 
USDF Region Two 2005 Championships, September 10, 2005
 
Raymeister  received 1st and 3rd, with an overall 3rd at First Level, and 4th and 6th with an overall 6th at Training Level.  He received 9 on gaits from all judges. Edit Text

 
SWANA Inspection at Little Bit Farm, September 18, 2005
 
Masterpiece (Master x Miss Nickle Annie) was approved and granted a lifetime breeding license.
 
O'Loverboy (Opus* out of Gana de Gauguin) was judged a Class 1 foal.
 
Rotanga  (Contango out of Ro-Z by Robin Z) also received Class 1 status.

ISR/Oldenburg Inspection at Turtle Rock Farm, Sertember 16, 2005 (No slow moving for Opus's get:) 

 

That Girl , 5 year old mare by Opus* out of premium Anna*** was entered into the premium mare book. 

 

O Pretty Lady  by Opus* out of Private Lady scored 103 points at three years of age. 

 

Ubileeah, 2005 filly by Opus* out of Dionysus* was judged a premium foal. 

 

Rehlein, 2005 filly by Raymeister out of Chloe by Opus*, owned by Jill Schabel, was awarded premium status and was high scoring foal with an 8.4 overall. Edit Text

 
ISR/Oldenburg Inspection at Little Bit Farm, August 13, 2005
 
Only Money Honey - (Opus* x St. Pr. Bankett* by Inschallah*/Furioso II*) was awarded Premium status and was champion mare of the site.
 
Royal Rhapsody - (Rubin Royal x Paradel) was judged a premium foal and was champion premium filly.
 
Rosalita - (Rosario x O'She's Gauguin) earned premium foal status.
 
Onastacia - (Opus* x Elite Goliad) scored 103 and is headed for the mare performance test in 2006.
 
O' So Friendly - (Opus* x Friendly Furiosa) received a score of 7.8, missing premium by only two tenths of a point.

USDF Midwest and Region 4 Championships 9/9 - 9/11
  • Toy Soldier (Opus* x Spaitlasse) with his 13-year-old rider/owner Katie Hiller won 2nd at First Level for the Midwest Championships (66%), 3rd at Training Level for the Regional Championships (68%), and 6th at First Level for the Regional Championships (67%). Congratulations Katie! Edit Text

  • O' So Friendly (Opus* x Friendly Furiosa) won Fillies of 2005 and Reserve Young Horse Championship.
  • Onastacia won the Three Year old Filly Materiale with a score of 74%.

  • Tashka* won the mare class, Mature Horse Championship and Grand Championship, and had the high score of the show (80).
  • Onastacia (Opus* x Elite Goliad) had the second high score of the show (79).
  • Ubilee II (Opus* x Dionysus*) earned a 72+ in the Materiale, just a few days after coming home from being broke.

Silverwood, July 2
  • Tashka* won the mare class, Mature Horse Championship and Grand Championship, and had the high score of the show (79)..
  • Owen (Opus* x St. Pr. Roma I x Rubenstein) in his first show of 2005, won the two-year-old colt/gelding class, Young Horse Championship, and was Reserve Grand Champion with the second highest score of the show (76+).

  • Toy Soldier (Opus* x Spatlaisse) had the high score (74) at Training Level with his young owner/rider, 13-year-old Katie Hiller.
Sorensen, June 16  (No grand championship was given.)
  • O'Loverboy won all his classes and Young Horse Championship.
  • Tashka* (Opus* x Bashka**), in her first show of 2005, won the mare class and Mature Horse Championship.
